COLOUR YOUR CLOTHES, COLOUR YOUR MIND

October 2010. Christian Dior catwalk. Galliano showed us fifty colourful outfits; pink dresses, orange shoes, blue bags and green necklaces. October 2010. Jil Sander catwalk. XXL blazers and long skirts joined Galliano's colourful trend. Wow! It seems like almost all designers want us to use orange, pink and blue in our outfits this summer. Coincidence?

Of course, not! All of us know that in Fashion nothing happens by concidence, all has been studied before. Every summer thousands of colours come to our wardrobes, but this year these colours have something special; something that will make us remember this season in the future. Too much colour? It's true that all the rainbow colours are in our clothes this season, but this is normal, as I've said two lines above, in summer we use to wear more colours. So this doesn't seem to be the reason why this season is special. Then, too much mix of colours? Yes, for sure. Pink plus electric blue plus orange; green plus yelow plus pink. Designers, stylists and bloggers aren't afraid of this combinations, all of them have tried the trend, and all of them seems to follow it without doubt. They are clever; difficult combinations, good results. As the famous proverb says: "Nothing ventured, nothing gained."

So, if celebrities and bloggers look fantastic with all of these funny colours, you can do it as well! Shops are full of these colours, you just have to buy a pink blazer or yelow jeans. I'm sure that you already have a red or blue pair of shoes, and an orange or a green old bag. Use them, put them all together and you'll have the look. But, be careful! Not all the combinations are valid. Remember that oposite colours always go together, not similar ones. Any way, if you're not sure about the combination try black, pink and red or black, pink and electric blue. Black or white will be your allies if you don't feel comfortable with too many colours.

Coming back to my idea, this summer is going to be remembered like the summer in which everybody feels so comfortable and strong that is able to wear thousands of funny colours and look incredibly fantastic!
